LearnUpUplift. Upskill. Upgrade.

Regular classes

Weekly lessons with your LearnUp tutor, ongoing across the school term — steady pace, visible progress.

What we cover

The core is Secondary English across all three streams — G1 (Normal Technical), G2 (Normal Academic) and G3 (Express / O-Level) — plus AEIS English for students new to Singapore, and Secondary Chemistry. The writing work is built on LearnUp's own frameworks: BLAST (turning real feeling into vivid description), SPARK (a step-by-step way to build a composition) and FLARE (for argumentative and discursive essays), alongside structured comprehension, editing and summary technique.

Who it's for

Secondary students on any stream who want steady improvement in English; AEIS candidates preparing for the MOE placement test (taught bilingually, English + Mandarin); and students taking O-Level or N-Level Chemistry. Lessons are pitched to each student's real level — from building foundations to exam-year sprinting.

How it works

One lesson a week (online or in person), with the same tutor throughout. Every student gets a personal progress map, weekly homework, and an online student portal where they see this week's lesson, do interactive practice, and submit work — while parents get a short summary after each lesson. One-to-one or small group.

About your LearnUp tutor

LearnUp is a solo teaching practice. Every lesson is taught personally by Vivek Hathiramani, the founder and only tutor — the person who plans the lessons is the person in the room, and your child keeps the same teacher from the first lesson to the last. Vivek writes all of LearnUp's material himself: the BLAST and SPARK writing frameworks, the FLARE argument framework, the comprehension and summary scaffolds, and the full Bronze/Silver/Gold mock exam papers for PSLE, N-Level, O-Level and AEIS English (and Secondary Chemistry). Many are free to download in the resource library — the clearest picture of how the teaching works. AEIS lessons are taught bilingually, in English and Mandarin.
